I had the privilege of working with Toliver for six months and in that time was able to make some real gains in my life. I think the most important changes came from having new frameworks from which to understand my behaviors and reactions. Since working with him, I am more present in my life and am taking responsibility for my own decision making and prioritization, and assuming that responsibility for my life has led to healthy decisions already. I’m experiencing an honesty with myself that feels luxurious. I’m being more purposeful about who I choose to spend time with and removing myself from people who make me feel bad. Through that, I've also made healthy decisions about my career and honing in on the values that are most important in the workplace. I am moving into a new job that fits these values really well, and I have both Toliver and me to thank for that!

My coaching relationship with Toliver lasted seven months. During this time he was particularly skillful in helping me work through my thinking about, and then execution of, a significant job (and life) change. Toliver helped me to get clear on what I want, identify what was getting in my way, and explore ways to navigate through some of my fear-based concerns. An excellent listener, Toliver has a gift for distilling content and asking “the next question” which helped me to continually move forward. He used exercises and assignments to help me focus on what I wanted to accomplish and she was always open to my feedback about how effective these tactics were. Toliver brings real empathy to his coaching practice. He celebrates his client’s successes and I am truly glad I worked with him.

Over the course of the last several months, Toliver has helped me address both personal and professional challenges with sensitivity, understanding, and unwavering support. His abilities to listen deeply, to understand and synthesize, to challenge and encourage have helped me successfully navigate the negatives and celebrate the positives. Having someone to keep me on track, to encourage me to push through the funk and create my own answers, and to help me take the time to recognize and truly feel my wins has been invaluable. I'm feeling happier, more confident, and more able to see through the haze thanks to our coaching sessions. It's the best investment I make in myself every month.

I have worked with Toliver on and off for a few years and I can say without hesitation that his coaching methods work. In the past year I have made so many positive changes, I have "unstuck" my thinking, and I have challenged my old patterns. But more than that, I made major progress on my own goals, such as launching my own business! Whether you have a specific goal, or need to define your goals, Toliver can help you get started today.

Toliver manages to combine a no-nonsense approach with compassion – a combination not easy to master, but ever so essential to a successful coaching experience. Toliver is a deep listener who captures and brings to the surface underlying messages and issues that as a client I either wasn’t able to see or didn’t want to see and created an environment to allow me to work through them. He is a masterful communicator who also has a unique ability to summarise his clients’ thoughts and words in a way that proves he ‘gets it’ and helps the client better understand what they are trying to say.

I was referred to Toliver by a friend who knew how unhappy I was in my current job. I felt disengaged, uncreative and afraid that the rug could be pulled out from under me at any moment. I really had no idea how or if this “coaching thing” would work, but allowed myself to go with the flow and trust in the process. The first few months were a little uncomfortable as we worked on what I would say was the “hard stuff”. You know things I hadn’t really thought about before like my interests, what makes me excited and what I really wanted to spend my time doing, etc. Toliver kept me accountable for my work, pushed me to dig a little deeper and at times helped me think about things in a different way. He also helped me celebrate and acknowledge my “wins” and see my mistakes as learning opportunities. I still have my current job and in my spare time have started to build a business that gives me the opportunity to be creative, share my talents, brings others together and is even making a little bit of money to boot. I am a proud and happy girl!
